Jackson County Funeral Card Index

JCGL has a volume of funeral cards for Jackson County published by the Genealogical Forum of Oregon under the title Shadows of Time. It contains a collection of cards given out at funeral services in the latter years of the 19th and early years of the 20th centuries. Although the collection is extensive, there is no claim that it is complete. Our volunteers have recently compiled an all-name index to this volume, which is shown below.

If you find a name of interest to you in this index and would like a copy of the funeral card for that name, follow the link below for the Postal Request Form. Complete and print the form, then mail it to us along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope, and a check for $10. Be sure to include the name of the deceased and the page for that name.

For faster turnaround, use the Buy Now button below to make a secure online payment using your major credit card. The form that displays will request the specific information needed to fulfill your request (e.g., name, volume, page). When you complete the transaction, your request will be emailed to our librarian, who will make a copy of the requested information and email it to you as an attachment. It will be sent as a .jpg (picture) file. When you receive this .jpg file, click on it and it will be loaded into your picture viewer from which you can print a hard copy.
