Abstracts of Jackson County Death Records Index (1906-1926)

JCGL has put together a volume of abstracts from Jackson County death records for the years 1906-1926. These abstracts include the name of the deceased, the date, age, and place of death, The deceased's occupation, his/her parents' names, and the birth places of those parents. Unfortunately, state records for 1906 are only available for half of 1906, but the remaining years should be complete.

If you find a name of interest to you and would like a copy of the abstract for the death record, follow the link below for the request form, complete and print the form, then mail it to us along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope, and a check for $10. Be sure to include the referenced name and the page reference(s) for that name.

The form that displays will request the specific information needed to fulfill your request (e.g., name, page). When you complete the transaction, your request will be emailed to our librarian, who will make a copy of the requested information and email it to you as an attachment. It will be sent as a .jpg (picture) file. When you receive this .jpg file, click on it and it will be loaded into your picture viewer from which you can print a hard copy.
